Natural source for Dihydrooxyresveratrol was first identified in mulberry extracts(Morus alba). Later the compound was identified in other medicinal plants. It is also be obtained from Artocarpus lakoocha and plants belonging to the same family. Oxyresveratrol isolated from the above sources is converted to dihydrooxyresveratrol by hydrogenation reaction.
